Research interests
My main research interests include:
- Conceptual user-centered design and Model-Driven Development of data and transaction intensive web applications. I refer to the Ubiquitous Web Applications design framework (UWA) as conceptual
design methodology for which I defined the UWAT+ extension for designing Web transactions.
- Reverse engineering of web applications for documentation and evolution purposes.
- Reengineering of legacy applications to develop Web based versions of them. I'm investigating the definition of a UWA-based approach to reengineering legacy applications.
- Reengineering of Web application transactions. Web transactions are sequences of activities with a control execution flow that enable the user to reach one of his goals or accomplish one of his tasks and represent a way to implement business processes in Web applications.
- Service centric systems engineering. I'm involved in the definition of a conceptual reference model for the engineering of service centric software systems.
